
No. 2 Gators Meet No. 11 Lady Vols in SEC Tournament Semifinals

Florida vs. Tennessee Game Notes
Baton Rouge, La. – The No. 2-ranked and Southeastern Conference champion Florida Softball team (50-5, 18-5 SEC) will face No. 11 Tennessee (41-13, 15-9) at 5:30 p.m. ET on Friday in the SEC Tournament semifinals.
QUICKLY: UF TEAM NOTES
· Florida enters the SEC Tournament as the No. 1 seed.
· UF travels to Baton Rouge, La., looking for its fourth league tournament crown (also: 2008, 2009, 2013).
· Each of the last three times the Gators have won the SEC regular-season title, they also have gone on to win the tournament.
· Florida won two of three games in at Missouri in its fi nal regular-season series.
· The Orange and Blue strung together a 17-game win streak from April 1-May 2; the run included 12 victories over ranked teams and four nonconference wins.
· UF won 11 of its final 12 SEC games dating back to April 3.
· Florida went 7-1 in eight conference series this season, and its last seven SEC sets.
· The Orange and Blue earned the program's 900th win in its final regular-season home game on April 26 against Texas A&M.
· Walton has 200 career SEC wins (200-64), and is the fifth active SEC head coach to win 200 games in league play.
GATOR BITES: UF PLAYER NOTES
· SEC Pitcher of the Year Lauren Haeger is 24-0 on the season.
· Florida's senior is the only Division I pitcher to be undefeated with 20+ wins.
· The right-hander is off to the best start to a season in school history (previous: 22-0, Stephanie Brombacher, 2009).
· The Arizona native has the third-most wins in the SEC.
· Haeger holds the Gator career records for home runs (also the SEC record), walks and RBI.
· Kathlyn Medina is a Senior CLASS Award finalist. Fans can vote daily via multiple devices thru May 11 at SeniorCLASSAward.com.
· SEC Player of the Year Kelsey Stewart holds the highest batting average in UF history (min. 200 AB) and has set the Gator records for career triples and stolen bases. She also is closing in on the career hits mark.
· Haeger and Stewart are among the 10 finalists for the USA Softball National Collegiate Player of the Year.
SETTING THE STAGE: SEC TOURNAMENT
· Florida is 23-24 all-time in the SEC Tournament, with three championships.
· The Gators and Lady Vols have met nine times in the league tournament; the Gators hold a 5-4 advantage.
· UF leads the all-time series 43-24.
· Since this year's seniors arrived on campus in 2012, the Lady Vols lead the Gators 6-5.
