OMAHA, Neb. – The Gators started the 2015 NCAA College World Series with a flourish on Saturday night, rebounding from a 2-0 deficit to post a 15-3 victory over Sunshine State rival Miami in front of 26,377 fans at TD Ameritrade Park Omaha.
Florida (50-16) is back on the diamond on Monday night at 8 p.m. in a winner's bracket contest against Virginia (40-22), last season's national runner-up. The game between the Gators and Cavaliers will be carried on ESPN2.

Postgame Notes:
- Sunshine State rivals Florida & Miami met in Omaha for the first time.
- The Gators have now claimed 20 of the last 25 meetings with the Hurricanes, including three of the four encounters this season.
- Kevin O'Sullivan improved to 7-0 in the postseason against Miami.
- Florida reached the 50-win plateau for the fourth time in school history (1991, 1996, 2011, 2015). The single-season mark for wins is 53, set in 2011.
- Tonight marked the Gators' ninth opening-round game at the NCAA College World Series and they improved to 4-5.
- UF collected its 20th come-from-behind win of the campaign of the year after trailing 2-0 in the third inning.
- The Gators' 11-run fourth inning was their highest output in a frame this season and was their most in an NCAA Tournament game.
- The 11 runs set a TD Ameritrade Park Omaha record for most runs in an inning and matched a CWS record for runs in a stanza.
- Logan Shore made his first career start in the CWS and his team-leading 18th start of the season.
- JJ Schwarz extended his hitting streak to a career-high 12 games with a second-inning single.
- Miami's Andrew Suarez had not been called for any balks all season until the third inning that resulted in UF's first run.
- Josh Tobias drew a leadoff walk in the fourth and has now reached base in a team-leading 28 straight games.
- Every Gators' starter reached base and scored at least one run.
- Florida has now reached double-digits in runs in three straight outings – 13-5 and 11-4 over Florida State and 15-3 against Miami.
- Tonight's attendance of 26,377 fans was the fourth-highest at TD Ameritrade Park Omaha.
- The Gators are now 16-6 against ranked teams this year, including 10-4 against top-10 foes.
