
Seven Gators Earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Accolades, Women Nab All-Academic Team Honor

NEW ORLEANS – In a release from the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association on Thursday afternoon, seven Gator women's track & field athletes earned individual All-Academic honors. Moreover, the Florida women were recognized as a 2015 USTFCCCA All-Academic Team, touting a collective 3.13 grade point average this past season.
To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field Team, a student-athlete must boast a cumulative GPA of 3.25 and either finish the indoor regular season ranked inside the national top 96 of an individual event or ranked in the national top 48 in a relay event, or participate in any round of the NCAA Division I Outdoor Championships.
Teams must carry a 3.00 GPA to qualify for the All-Academic Team listing.
The Southeastern Conference totaled 99 female All-Academic honorees, topping the Big Ten Conference (98), Pac-12 Conference (78) and Big 12 Conference (73).
