
Gators Remain in Top 10 After Day Two of Pan-American Games

MARKHAM, Ont. – University of Florida sophomore men's golfer Alejandro Tosti and incoming freshman Jorge Garcia are both even-par and tied for ninth following second-round action at the 2015 Toronto Pan-American Games on Friday.
Garcia recorded a 2-over 74 and Tosti shot a 7-over 79 in Round 2 at the Angus Glen Golf Club.
With a 36-hole total of +8 (152), Florida junior women's golfer Maria Torres held on to a tie for 10th place in the women's contest after posting a 3-over 75 in Round 2.
Tosti's mixed team, Argentina, is in third place entering Round 3, and Garcia's Venezuelan team is in seventh. Torres' Puerto Rican team sits in eighth among the 16-team field.
Round 3 of the Games continues on Saturday at the Angus Glen Golf Club. The final round will be played Sunday.
