Wilbekin Earns NBA Contract, Highlighting Four Gators in NBA Summer League

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Four Gators participated in the NBA Summer League this year, with Scottie Wilbekin reportedly earning a four-year contract with the Philadelphia 76ers after averaging 16.0 points and shooting .441 from 3-point range in five games for the Sixers in the Las Vegas Summer League.
Wilbekin also averaged 9.6 points and 2.8 assists and shot .385 from 3-point range for the Magic in the Orlando Summer League, helping the team to a 4-1 record.
Wilbekin's five games with the Sixers included a huge game vs. the Knicks with 26 points, three assists, three rebounds and 6-for-8 shooting from 3-point land, while the Magic stint was highlighted by a 15-point game with 5-for-8 shooting from 3-point range against Charlotte.
In addition to Wilbekin, Casey Prather competed with the NBA D-League Select team, while Michael Frazier II played with the Golden State Warriors and Chris Walker with the Houston Rockets.
