GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The plane took off around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday and finally landed back home shortly before 8 p.m.
It was a long day for Gators head coach Jim McElwain, who made his first appearance at the annual SEC Coaches “Car Wash” at ESPN headquarters in Bristol, Conn.

And in what has become a tradition in recent years, Florida's contingent made a quick pit stop in South Carolina to pick up a familiar face, former Gators coach Steve Spurrier, entering his 11th season as head coach of the Gamecocks.
Once McElwain and Spurrier arrived at ESPN, they made the rounds for numerous TV, radio and digital media interviews.
