
Banks and Tomlinson Named All-America Scholars

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – University of Florida senior men's golfers Eric Banks and J.D. Tomlinson were selected as Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholars, the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced Wednesday.
It was the second consecutive year that the pair earned the honor and came about a month after the two Gators were chosen as members of the SEC Academic Honor Roll.
A total of 206 golfers made the Division I list. To be eligible for the award, golfers must be juniors or seniors academically, compete in at least three full years at the collegiate level, participate in 50 percent of the team's rounds, have a stroke average below 76 and maintain a minimum GPA of 3.2. Recipients must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at their university.
