
Ten Gators Earn NACGC Scholastic All-America Honors

Ten members of the University of Florida's NCAA Championship team were recognized by the National Association of Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches (NACGC) for their 2014-15 grade point averages. The NACGC recognizes the academic accomplishments of collegiate gymnastics teams each season.
The Gators posted a 3.4679 cumulative team GPA for the 2014-15 academic year, which stands among the top 25 GPAs among the nation's gymnastics programs. Florida freshman Alex McMurtry was one of 91 collegiate gymnasts who posted a 4.0 GPA in 2014-15.

To qualify for the NACGC Scholastic All-America team, a gymnast must have a GPA of 3.50 for either the preceding academic year or have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or above at the nominating institution.
Shisler, Spicer and Wang were recognized as NACGC Scholastic All-Americans each year of their collegiate careers. Caquatto, Dancose-Giambattisto and Frazier make their third consecutive appearance on the list.
In 2015, the Gator gymnastics team won its third consecutive NCAA Championships. Five Gators tallied 13 All-America honors in NCAA action.
