GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The University of Florida soccer team meets its fourth in-state opponent so far of 2015 regular-season action Sunday when it travels to the River City to face Jacksonville. Match time is set for 2 p.m. at the Southern Oak Stadium and admission is free.

UF-JU Series History:
Sunday's match will be the fifth in the two team's all-time series history and the first in Jacksonville. The two teams last met in 2013 NCAA Opening Round action at the James G. Pressly Stadium. Florida advanced with a 2-0 win off goals from Tessa Andujar and Meggie Dougherty Howard. This will be the first regular-season meeting between the two programs since 2010. Florida leads the all-time series 4-0.

Gators' Last Outing:
SEC action started Thursday when the top two teams in each of the last three league standings met at UF's Donald R. Dizney Stadium – No. 6 Texas A&M and No. 10 Florida. The Aggies scored a goal around the seven minute mark of each half to open a 2-0 lead. Junior Savannah Jordan put in the long pass from freshman Mayra Pelayo at the far post in the 77th minute, but the Gators couldn't find the equalizer. The goal moves Jordan to No. 6 on the Gators All-Time Points List (106 points off 47 goals and 12 assists).
Snaps for Sharp
One Gator from Ponte Vedra, Florida – just 29 miles southeast of Jacksonville – is the reigning Southeastern Conference Offensive Player of the Week. Junior Brooke Sharp scored twice in the Sept. 4 win versus Oklahoma State to claim a share of the honor announced on Sept. 8. Sharp scored her first two goals of 2015, including the golden goal, to give UF a 3-2 overtime win over the Cowgirls. Her game-winner with just 19 seconds remaining in the first overtime is the latest ever for UF in the first 10 minutes of overtime action.
About the Dolphins:
The Dolphins lost 1-0 to Florida Atlantic on Sept. 9, as the only goal of the match came early in the second half. Sunday's match is the fifth consecutive home date for JU, although the Sept. 4 Charleston Southern match was cancelled due to lightning. Senior Marie Weckhurst leads the 2015 Dolphins in goals (3) and points (7). Brian Copham is in his eighth season as the head of the Dolphin program.
Preseason Conference Votes:
Florida was second in the 2014 Southeastern Conference final standings with a 9-2 record. Jacksonville was third in the 2014 Atlantic Sun Conference standings with a 4-3 record.
Florida – The Gators are picked to win the 2015 Southeastern Conference title.
Jacksonville – The Dolphins are picked to finish second in the Atlantic Sun Conference in 2015. Florida Gulf Coast is the preseason pick to win the A-Sun.
