GAINESVILLE, Florida - The University of Florida soccer team did well on the pitch and in the classroom last season. The Gators, which advanced to the NCAA Elite Eight in 2014, also posted a 3.39 grade point average for the 2014-15 academic year.
That GPA earns Florida a spot on the National Soccer Coaches Association of American (NSCAA) College Team Academic Award list. Florida is among 554 women's programs earning mention by the NSCAA. Teams must post a 3.0 or higher GPA to earn mention on the NSCAA's annual list.
A total of 21 Gator soccer players earned a spot on 2014-15 Southeastern Conference Academic Honor Rolls last season (17 – SEC Academic Honor Roll; 4 – SEC First Year Academic Honor Roll).
