Five Gators in Irvine, Calif. for USWNT Selection Camp This Week

UF has four current Gators and one Gator Great in Irvine, Calif. for the 2016 USWNT Selection Camp this week.
IRVINE, Calif. – University of Florida seniors Aubree Munro and Kelsey Stewart, sophomore Nicole DeWitt, freshman Kelly Barnhill and Gator Great Michelle Moultrie are among 40 of the country's best softball players in Irvine, Calif. to attend the 2016 USA Softball Women's National Team (USWNT) Selection Camp this week.
Held at Bill Barber Park, the USWNT Selection Camp attendees will participate in the selection process for a chance to represent the U.S. during the 2016 international season.

The attendees will participate in a four day selection camp, where they will compete in position drills and simulated games while being evaluated by members of the Women's National Team Selection Committee. These 40 participants will be vying for a spot on the 17-athlete roster that will compete at the World Cup of Softball XI, the XV World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) Women's World Championship in Surrey, B.C., Canada and the Japan Cup.
A full list of National Team events, including exhibition games, will be released at a later date.

- Assisted USA to a silver medal at the 2015 Pan American Games
- Helped the Stars and Stripes to a gold medal at the World Cup of Softball X where she hit .350 in eight games
- Assisted the Eagles to a gold medal at the World Cup of Softball and a silver medal at the ISF XIV Women's World Championship
- Helped Team USA end their 2015 season with a Gold Medal finish at the Japan Cup
- 2013 USA Softball Junior Women's National Team
- Led the Red, White & Blue to a silver medal in July 2013 at the ISF X Jr. Women's World Championship
Nicole DeWitt
- USA Softball Junior National Team, 2015
- Assisted the Eagles to a fifth-place finish at the World Cup of Softball X.
- Helped the Stars and Stripes win a gold medal at the 2015 World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) Junior Women's World Championship (JWWC). She paced the Eagles offensive attack as she hit .381 (8-for-21) with 12 RBI and 15 runs scored.
Kelly Barnhill
- USA Softball Junior National Team, 2015
- Assisted the Eagles to a fifth-place finish at the World Cup of Softball X.
- Helped the Stars and Stripes win a gold medal at the 2015 World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) Junior Women's World Championship (JWWC). In the circle, Barnhill was a perfect 6-0 for the Eagles as she struck out 51 batters in just 26 innings pitched. In addition she recorded a miniscule 0.54 earned run average.
