Florida, Florida State set for prime-time clash on national TV.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Florida travels to Tallahassee for its final game of the regular season to face rival Florida State in prime time. The game is set for an 8:00 p.m. kickoff on ABC.
Since its inception in 1958, The Florida-Florida State series, better known as the Sunshine Showdown, has etched itself into sports lore as one of the most prominent rivalries in college football history. In this rivalry of sustained runs, Florida boasts a 34-24-2 all-time record against the Seminoles, along with a 13-12-1 mark in Tallahassee. Prior to last season when No. 13-ranked FSU topped No. 12 UF, there had been no upsets in this rivalry over the previous 10 seasons, as the higher ranked team has won each of those games.
Florida's last win in Tallahassee came in 2012.
