"We look forward to the game at The Baseball Grounds every March and playing in front of a great crowd with a tremendous atmosphere for college baseball," said Florida head coach Kevin O'Sullivan. "The people in Jacksonville do a wonderful job in putting on the event and it's exciting for both teams to have so many passionate Gator and Seminole fans cheering them on."
The legendary series features a home game at each school's home field with the middle game of the series being in Jacksonville this year. Last year, Florida State took home an 8-3 win in front of a crowd of 8,306. Over the last three years, the game has averaged 9,233 fans in attendance.
