The two youngsters were pivotal in helping the Gators erase a second-half deficit of eight points to actually take the lead, 71-70, with 3:42 left. That's when Larson and Cavanaugh took over.
WHAT IT MEANS: UF's season is over, ending a game shy of the NIT semifinals at Madison Square Garden. Florida finished with a 21-15 record.
IN THE SPOTLIGHT: Allen, as he's been on several occasions in his rookie season, was spectacular. STAGGERING STATISTIC: The Gators got beat up on the glass, with the Colonials winning the battle of boards 40-35, including 15 offensive rebounds (five by Larsen) that helped GW to 21 second-chance points and 34 in the paint.
