McElwain: Gators Without Harris and Callaway This Spring

Gators coach Jim McElwain announced Tuesday the Gators will be without two key contributors this spring.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Florida head coach Jim McElwain announced Tuesday that quarterback Treon Harris and receiver Antonio Callaway will not be with the Gators this spring.

"They haven't been with us since January,'' he said. "You won't see those guys out there at practice. That's the last we'll talk about it."

McElwain said both players continue to do their "schoolwork" but did not offer any other details.

A junior from Miami, Harris started nine games in McElwain's first season, including the last eight after Will Grier was suspended.

Meanwhile, Callaway emerged as Florida's most dangerous receiver and was named to the All-SEC Freshman Team.
