GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- After improving to 10-1 on the season and 1-0 in BIG EAST play with a win over Vanderbilt last weekend, the No. 2 Gators will play host to Temple at The Diz April 2 to continue conference play and wrap up a five-game home stand.

The Owls (8-2) descend upon Gainesville for their BIG EAST opener having won eight of their last nine games. Opening draw between the Gators and Owls is slated for noon ET, and Gator fans can catch all the action live on FloridaGators.com with Ben Murphy and Ryan Nelson on the call.

Last time out, the Orange and Blue took a season-high 37 shots against the Commodores to open league play. Nine Gators scored and Florida held Vandy to a season-low two goals behind a stifling defensive effort and nine saves -- including a career high six for freshman keeper Haley Hicklen.

Sophomore Allie Pavinelli was tabbed the BIG EAST Attacker of the Week last week after a career-high three goals against the Dores, while veteran Nicole Graziano picked up her fourth Middie of the Week honor following a five goal, six-point outing. Taylor Bresnahan was named to the conference honor roll after scoring her fourth goal of the season to give UF seven games this season with a defender scoring. Bresnahan additionally caused a team-high two Vandy turnovers.

Florida is 3-0 all-time against Temple, Gator head coach Amanda O'Leary's alma mater. O'Leary was a two-time All-American at Temple in both field hockey and lacrosse, and was on the 1988 NCAA Lacrosse National Champion Team at Temple. She was tabbed the Midfielder of the Year in 1987 and 1988 and was the 1988 Lacrosse Magazine Player of the Year.
