Munro was named to the SEC Community Service Team for the second-straight season.
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Florida senior catcher Aubree Munro was named on Wednesday to the SEC Softball Community Service Team, as announced by the league office. The conference has selected one student-athlete from each school to a Community Service Team for every SEC-sponsored sport since 2004.
This is the second-straight season the Brea, Calif. native has garnered this honor.
During the 2015-16 school year, Munro was involved with seven different programs in the Gainesville community and did a myriad of activities with each one.

- Lincoln Middle School.
On the field, Munro was named to the SEC All-Defensive team and to the All-SEC second team this past Tuesday.
- Highlights on the field:
- Totaled the most defensive chances in the SEC this season (446) and has the most putouts as well (413)
- Recorded a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage in SEC play
- Ranks second in the conference with two runners picked off
- Caught five runners stealing this season but only seven opposing baserunners have attempted a stolen base against the Brea, Calif. native
- Having her best offensive season as a collegian, as she's hitting .289 (39-for-135) with three home runs, six doubles, one triple, 28 RBI and 20 runs scored
- In Florida's series-clinching win against Mississippi State, she hit her first-career grand slam to power UF past MSU, 6-3
- Totaled the most defensive chances in the SEC this season (446) and has the most putouts as well (413)
Munro and the Gators will open play at the SEC Tournament in Starkville, Miss., on Thursday at 5 p.m. ET against the winner of today's Ole Miss-Georgia game. The SEC Network will televise the contest. Florida Sports Talk will have the radio broadcast with Adam Schick (play-by-play) and former Gator Kelsey Horton (analysis) on the call.
