Delanie Gourley and Amanda Lorenz will play for the U.S. Women’s Elite Team during its 2016 campaign.
OKLAHOMA CITY – University of Florida junior pitcher Delanie Gourley and freshman Amanda Lorenz will play for the U.S. Women's Elite Team during its 2016 campaign, the Amateur Softball Association of America announced on Tuesday.
Gourley and Lorenz, who will be representing the U.S. for the first time in their careers, will participate in a series of exhibition games against the USA Softball Women's National Team in addition to the World Cup of Softball XI. The Women's Elite Team will also participate in exhibition games at the USA Softball JO Cup in Marietta, Ga.

- Ranks among the conference's best in ERA (second, 0.70), victories (T-11th, 19), strikeouts (second, 219), saves (T-4th, 5) and opposing batting average (first, .135)
- Her ERA ranks second in the country and only behind her teammate, Aleshia Ocasio (0.65)
- Recorded her second no hitter of the season and third of her career against Mississippi State in late April
- Joined Hannah Rogers as the only Gators to throw three no hitters. In addition, she's one of four Gators (Hannah Rogers, 2013; Stacey Nelson, 2009, Beth Dieter, 2000) to throw two no hitters in one season
- Tossed four one-hitters this season
- Combined with freshman Kelly Barnhill for a Florida single-game record 18 strikeouts against FAMU on March 6
- Registered a career-high 16 strikeouts in Florida's final regular season series against Arkansas
