Kayli Kvistad has been named to the 2016 CoSIDA Academic All-America Division I Softball Team.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Sophomore Kayli Kvistad has been named to the 2016 CoSIDA Academic All-America Division I Softball Team on Thursday, May 26. Kvistad earned first team honors, becoming the ninth UF softball player to earn Academic All-America honors and first since Michelle Moultrie in 2012.
The Lake City, Fla. native is a communication sciences & disorders major and carries a 3.65 grade point average.
A season ago, Kvistad was named an NFCA All-American Scholar-Athlete.
On the field this year, Kvistad ranks among the SEC leaders in hitting (14th, .386), slugging percentage (13th, .664), RBI (11th, 60) and on-base percentage (10th, .516). In addition, she's one of eight hitters who had an on base percentage above .500 in conference play and ranked third with 27 RBI during league games.
Kvistad has yet to play a defensive inning this season, as she has been Florida's DP throughout the entire season.
For her efforts on the field, Kvistad has been named a First Team All-SEC performer and All-Southeast Region selection.
