TULSA, Okla. – All three members of the No. 3 University of Florida women's tennis team advanced in the NCAA Individual Championships on Thursday afternoon.
Belinda Woolcock advanced in the singles draw and the No. 3-ranked duo of
Brooke Austin and
Kourtney Keegan earned a berth into the doubles round of 16.
In the singles Round of 32, Woolcock defeated No. 23 Erin Routliffe in a three set match. The Australia native blanked the Alabama senior in the first set, but fell 7-5 in the second. The Gator junior would make quick work of Routliffe in the third set with a 6-1 decision.
The opening round of doubles action saw the No. 3-ranked Austin and Keegan use straight sets to defeat Syracuse's Knutson and Salazar, 6-4, 6-3 to advance to the NCAA doubles round of 16.
Up next, the Gators will continue NCAA Individual competition on Friday morning from the Michael D. Case Tennis Center in Tulsa, Okla.
