The University of Florida gymnastics program has three incoming freshmen set to compete in the U.S. Gymnastics Olympic Team Trials next month in San Jose, Calif.
Three incoming Gator freshmen – Alyssa Baumann, Rachel Gowey and Amelia Hundley – move ahead to the U.S. Gymnastics Olympic Team Trials, set for July 8 and 10 in San Jose, Calif.
They move ahead to the Olympic Trials based on their finishes in the P&G Championships, held Friday and Sunday in St. Louis, Mo.
At the conclusion of the Olympic Trials on July 10, the five gymnasts who will represent the U.S. at the Rio de Janeiro 2016 Olympic Games will be announced.

These gymnasts will also be at the Olympic Trials: Brenna Dowell, Christina Desiderio, Emily Schild, Ashton Locklear and Maggie Nichols.
Baumann, Gowey and Hundley signed national letters of intent with Florida in November of 2015. They will enroll at the University of Florida this August and will be part of the 2017 Gator gymnastics team.
