Two Gators on NACGC Scholastic All-America Team

Two Gators were recognized by the National Association of Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches (NACGC) for their 2015-16 grade point averages. The NACGC recognizes the academic accomplishments of collegiate gymnasts each season.
Senior Bianca Dancose-Giambattisto received NACGC Scholastic All-America honors each year of her collegiate career. She is schedule to receive her bachelor's degree in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology at the University of Florida's summer commencement next month.
Florida sophomore Alex McMurtry was one of 97 collegiate gymnasts who posted a 4.0 GPA in 2015-16. She is one of nine gymnasts who earned both CoSIDA Academic All-America At-Large and NACGC Scholastic All-America honors in 2016.
To qualify for the NACGC Scholastic All-America team, a gymnast must have a GPA of 3.50 for either the preceding academic year or have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or above at the nominating institution.
In 2016, the Gator gymnastics team won its 10th Southeastern Conference title and took fourth in the NCAA Championships. Five Gators tallied 14 All-America honors in NCAA action.
