Florida finished with 13 overall medals, including eight golds
RIO DE JANEIRO – Saturday (Aug. 20) was the final day of action for Gator letterwinners at the 2016 Olympic Games, and the Gators went out on the highest of notes, winning four medals and raising their overall medal count to 13.
Arman "Gino" Hall and Tony McQuay ran the first two legs for Team USA's 4x400 relay, which won the gold medal.
Novlene Williams-Mills anchored Jamaica's 4x400 relay team to a silver medal. It is the fourth Olympic medal of Williams-Mills' career, all of which have come in the 4x400 relay.
Kelly Murphy and Team USA collected an indoor volleyball bronze medal with a victory over Netherlands in the afternoon.
Golfer Sandra Gal (Germany) carded a second consecutive 2-under 69 this morning to close out her Olympics with a 72-hole score of 283 (-1).

- Sandra Gal (Germany) matched her -2 (69) from Friday during the fourth and final round Saturday.
- Her second consecutive under-par round moved Gal to under-par for the whole tournament, -1 (283).
- Gal moved two spots up the leaderboard and finished the Olympics tied for 25th place.
- The Gold Medal was awarded to Inbee Park (South Korea), who carded a -16 (268). A full leaderboard can be found here.

Track & Field
- Novlene Williams-Mills anchored Jamaica's 4x400 relay team to a silver medal, helping them clock a time of 3:20.34. It is the fourth Olympic medal of Williams-Mills' career. Williams-Mills and the Jamaicans previously won bronze in 2004, 2008, and 2012. However, the Russian team who finished ahead of them in 2008 were recently stripped of their medals for doping violations.
- Arman "Gino" Hall and Tony McQuay ran the leadoff and second leg, respectively, for the Americans' gold medal-winning 4x400 relay. McQuay also won the silver medal in this event at the 2012 Olympics, while this is the first Olympic medal for Hall, the 2016 NCAA Outdoor 400 meters national champion.
Volleyball
- Kelly Murphy and Team USA defeated Netherlands, 3-1, in this afternoon's bronze medal match. Murphy started for the Americans and notched five kills, one dig, one block, and one service ace. Murphy's bronze is the first indoor volleyball medal in UF Olympic history.
