Freshman Ingrid Neel upset the ninth-ranked player in the country.

LAS VEGAS – She's been on campus just a couple week and already freshman Ingrid Neel is giving a small taste of the impact she could make with the Gators this season, as the rookie advanced to the semifinals of the Freeman Memorial Women's Tennis Championships at the Fertitta Tennis Complex on the UNLV campus.

Some of the results from Saturday were reported incorrectly and the following is a revised version of the complete second day of play at the three-day singles and doubles event.

Who Else in Competing

Teams with individual competitors include: No. 1 Florida, No. 2 North Carolina, No. 3 Pepperdine, No. 4 Stanford, No. 5 Oklahoma State, No. 10 Duke and No. 25 UCLA. Host UNLV will provide eight singles players and four doubles teams in the draws.
