D1 Softball News Releases Preseason Top 25

The Gators were tabbed as the No. 3 team in the country according to the D1 Softball News Preseason Top 25 poll Monday, January 23. Oklahoma claimed the top spot while in-state rival checked in at No. 2.
Florida returns all of its NFCA All-Americans from last season's squad and was picked as the preseason favorite to win the SEC last week in a vote by the league's head coaches.

The team will take the field for the first time of the 2017 season on Friday, Feb. 10 in Tampa at the USF – Wilson DeMarini Classic against Illinois State. SEC play is scheduled to open up on March 11 at home inside Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium against Missouri with the SEC tournament set for May 10-13 at the Sherri Parker Lee Stadium in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Season tickets went on sale for the first time in program history and fans can purchase those through the Gator Ticket Office. Single game tickets will go on sale Jan. 31. Information on ticket prices can be found HERE.
