Sophomore Gordon Neale placed second at last year's Mason Rudolph Championship.
Gators Head to Mason Rudolph Championship

FRANKLIN, Tenn. – The University of Florida men's golf team travels to Tennessee this weekend to compete in the Mason Rudolph Championship, hosted by Vanderbilt. At the same event last year, the team finished in second place, while Sam Horsfield and Gordon Neale took the top two spots.
The No. 4-ranked Gators will look to capitalize off the stellar play that saw the team come back from eight strokes down on the final day of the Schenkel Invitational to clinch the title. It was the team's fourth victory of the season, which is the most UF has had since its 2010-11 season (five).
Individually, Sam Horsfield will look to continue his good play and finish in the top-25 for the sixth-consecutive tournament. The sophomore notched his best finish of the season, placing third with his lowest stroke total (207) of the year.
Course Information: The 2017 Mason Rudolph Championship is being held at the par-71, 7,100-yard Vanderbilt Legends Club in Franklin, Tenn.
Tournament Information: The tournament will be a three-day, 54-hole event.
Head Coach J.C. Deacon:
On the Mason Rudolph Championship…
"We're excited about going to Vanderbilt's home course. They're such a phenomenal program and team, they'll be a really, really tough test. The guys know we have our work cut out for us, but at the same time, we are excited for the opportunity. I know a lot of guys have some good experiences and feelings from last year playing really well. The guys are excited to get back and hopefully we can move up the leaderboard that one spot we missed out on last year (when the team finished second)."
On the team coming together…
"I'm so excited about what's going on with the guys, they've really come together like I haven't seen since I've been here in Gainesville. They're tight, they're pushing each other and we're close to being our best."
