
Gourley Selected In 2017 NPF Draft

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Senior Delanie Gourley became the 13th player in Florida softball history to be selected in the National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) College Draft which was held Monday, April 24 in Nashville.
The Scrap Yard Dawgs with their first pick of the draft took Gourley as the second pick in the third round. Gourley was selected as the 12th overall pick, the third highest draftee in Gators program history and was traded to the Texas Charge.
The Charge traded their 13th and 25th overall picks to acquire Gourley from the Scrap Yard Dawgs.
The Lakeside, Calif. native is currently holds a 14-3 record in the circle this season and has amassed 58 career wins, which ranks eighth in Florida softball history. She also sits second in program history and fifth amongst NCAA active career leaders with 14 career saves.
Gourley is also a member of the 2017 Team USA squad whose schedule will run from June 12 through the end of August with the Japan Cup.
The NPF regular season runs from June 1 to August 13 with the championships slated to run from August 17-20.
