CHARTING THE GATORS
For more than a decade now, the Southeastern Conference has had more players taken in the NFL Draft than any other league in college football. Obviously, Florida was well represented, what with its eight selections tying with LSU for the second-most in the SEC, behind Alabama. The Gators had one first-round pick (linebacker Jarrad Davis to Detroit) Thursday, then five in Friday's second and third rounds (safety Marcus Maye to the New York Jets; cornerback Quincy Wilson to the Indianapolis; cornerback Jalen Tabor to Detroit; linebacker Alex Anzalone to New Orleans), followed by three more in Saturday's Rounds 4 through 7 (offensive tackle David Sharpe to Oakland; defensive tackle Caleb Brantley to Cleveland; defensive lineman Joey Ivie to Dallas).
Here's a look how all 14 SEC teams fared in the draft.
