Kvistad Selected To SEC Community Service Team

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Junior first baseman Kayli Kvistad was named to the SEC Softball Community Service Team by the league office this morning. The SEC has selected one student-athlete from each school to a Community Service Team for every SEC-sponsored sport since 2004.
Kvistad has stayed busy both on the field, off the field and in the classroom this academic year. The Lake City, Fla. native has volunteered her time to nine different programs and events throughout the year.

In the classroom, Kvistad was named to the 2017 CoSIDA Academic All-District Team and has been recognized from her play on the field with being named to the 2017 All-SEC First Team and SEC Player of the Week (4/25).
The talented junior now has 60 walks, ranks second nationally, on the season to go along with team-leading marks in batting average (.390) and RBIs (47). Kvistad's .583 on-base percentage ranks fourth in the nation.
Florida travels to Knoxville to take on the winner of Mississippi State and Ole Miss tomorrow in its first game of the SEC Tournament at 2:30 p.m. The game can be viewed live on the SEC Network or listened to locally RADIO: WGGG (92.1 FM/1230 AM) & WMOP (100.1 FM/900 AM).
