IRVINE, Calif. – Former Gator Aubree Munro went 2-for-2 at the plate with a home run and three RBI to help the USA Softball Women's National Team (WNT) defeat the USA Softball of Southern California All-Stars 10-0 in the first exhibition game of the summer at Deanna Manning Stadium.
A trio of former Gators saw action in the contest as Kelsey Stewart and Michelle Moultrie each received starts for the Red, White & Blue alongside Munro.
The WNT struck first in the second inning to take a 1-0 lead and extended that lead to 3-0 in the third. Stewart led off the frame being hit by the pitch and was driven home on an Amanda Chidester home run.
Munro drove in her first run of the game on an RBI single that scored Jazmyn Jackson in the fourth inning to extend Team USA's lead to 7-0 and capped off her night with a two-run home run to left field in the sixth.
