GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Week one of the NFL season is nearly complete, and 48 Gators on 26 teams began another season in hopes of hoisting the Lombardi Trophy at years end.
There were many standout performances and NFL debuts in the first week of the season, but it was Mike Gillieslee of the New England Patriots that started the season off with an impressive three touchdown performance on opening night. Gillislee played at UF from 2009-12 and accumulated 1,152 yards and 10 rushing touchdowns while wearing the Orange and Blue.
