D1Baseball.com Ranks Gators No. 1 in Preseason

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida Gators were ranked No. 1 in D1Baseball.com's Preseason Poll released on Tuesday. Head coach Kevin O'Sullivan's club had previously been tabbed No. 1 in the preseason polls from Collegiate Baseball and Perfect Game.
D1Baseball.com began rankings prior to the 2015 season and the Gators have ranked in the top two each year during the preseason (2017-No. 2; 2016-No. 1; 2015-No. 2).
Florida will host three Top 25 opponents in McKethan Stadium this season, with in-state rival No. 5 Florida State (March 14), No. 4 Arkansas (March 23-25) and No. 14 Vanderbilt (March 30-April 1) coming to Gainesville.
The Gators open the 2018 season on Feb. 16 against Siena at McKethan Stadium. Season tickets and Flex Passes for the 2018 Gator Baseball season are on sale now and can be purchased online through FloridaGators.com or by calling the Gator Ticket Office at 1-800-34-GATOR from 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Last season, Florida won the first national title in program history with a 52-19 record. The Gators have reached the College World Series six times in the past eight years under head coach Kevin O'Sullivan. UF is the only program in the country to earn a top-eight national seed for NCAA play for the eighth time in the last nine years.
