A look at how ex-Gators performed in the NFL Playoffs over the weekend.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The NFL Playoffs advanced to the conference divisional rounds this weekend with 15 Gators on seven playoff rosters.
During the regular season Gators were all throughout the NFL, with 47 former UF players on 27 different teams. The 47 Gators in the League is one of the best totals in professional football, and puts Florida inside the top 5 for the most players from one university.
The No. 3 overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, Dante Fowler Jr., helped the Jacksonville Jaguars defeat the Pittsburgh Steelers on the road and advance to the AFC Championship game. Fowler has had a great year with Jacksonville totaling 18 tackles, eight sacks, three fumble recoveries and two forced fumbles.
While at Florida Fowler was a Freshman All-America as well as a First and Second Team All-SEC selection. He recorded 140 career tackles with 14.5 sacks, five forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.
