Foberg, a mid-meet addition to the all-around linerup, was runner-up in Friday's season-opening all-around at 39.125.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – One meet into her collegiate career and Florida's Jazmyn Foberg is already collecting accolades. Foberg is the first Southeastern Conference Freshman Gymnast of the Week recipient for the 2018 season.
Foberg is among the Gators' four gymnasts who rate as the nation's top freshman class by CollegeGymFans.com.

Florida's anticipated home season starts with one of the nation's top duals of the season when No. 1 Louisiana State comes to the Exactech Arena at the Stephen C. O'Connell Center this Friday. Meet time is set for 6:45 p.m.
The first 1,000 fans receive a pair of "Perfect 10.0" foam hands and the first 1,000 students receive a Gators Gymnastics t shirt!
This will be the Tigers second SEC meet, as LSU used the nation's top total of this young season to open with a 197.15 – 195.35 home win Friday versus then No. 19 Arkansas.

Foberg's Performance:
- Runner-up in the season opener all-around at 39.125 in Florida's win last Friday at West Virginia. That total is the second highest among the nation's freshmen and highest among SEC freshmen so far in 2018. Her total is the fifth-highest ever for a Gator freshman in a season opener.
- Third on floor at 9.825
- Inserted mid-meet into the all-around lineup. Senior All-American Kennedy Baker suffered leg cramps during uneven bars competition and was held out of the remaining three events. Foberg took Baker's slot in the beam lineup. Florida posted the nation's top beam team total (49.275) in the first week of competition.
