In UF's last match, the first goal of the season for junior
Tess Sapone proved to be the game-winner as UF took a 1-0 win over Georgia in the 11
th annual Kickin' for the Cure (breast cancer awareness match) Thursday at the Donald R. Dizney Stadium. Pelayo sent a square ball to Sapone at the top of the box. She took a touch to the right and then hit a left-footed shot from the penalty spot in the 14
th minute.

Kaylan Marckese into a share for Florida's career solo shutouts record.
Katie Fraine concluded her career in 2010 with 27 solo shutouts and
Taylor Burke also ended her career in 2014 with 27 shutouts.

Last Meeting Between UF-Missouri:
When the two teams met last season in Gainesville, two first-half goals in a span of 26 seconds gave Florida a 2-1 win.
Parker Roberts started the scoring at 12:10. UF won the ball quickly after play resumed, with
Deanne Rose's square ball above the box finding
Mayra Pelayo making a right side run. Pelayo hit a right-footed curler, scoring at the far corner at 12:36. The Tigers narrowed the lead with Madison Lewis' 25-yard free kick in the 57
th minute.

- Both Florida and Missouri look for a win Sunday to solidify a SEC Tournament spot. The top 10 teams head to Orange Beach, Ala., for tournament play. With two matches remaining in the SEC regular-season, Florida is No. 7 and Missouri is tied for 11th – with just four points between them (win = 3 points; tie – 1 pt).
