BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Trey Freeman earned the SEC Freshman of the Week on Tuesday, as the league announced its weekly honors.
Freeman holds the eighth-best time in the NCAA in the 500-yard freestyle with a swim of 4:28.77, second in the conference. He is currently the second-ranked freshman in the SEC in the 200-yard butterfly with a mark of 1:52.76, sixth overall in the conference. Freeman helped Florida start the season 1-0.
The Gators are scheduled to return to the pool on Friday, Oct. 12, for a conference matchup against LSU in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
