Gators Game at Jacksonville Cancelled

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida softball program's fall game at Jacksonville scheduled for Monday, Nov. 12, at 4 p.m. has been cancelled due to current field conditions and the potential for more unfavorable weather.
The next time the Gators will be in action is when the team opens the 2019 season Friday, Feb. 8, against Illinois State at the USF Wilson-DeMarini Tournament in Tampa.
This fall the Florida outscored opponents 47-4 over three games.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida softball program's fall game at Jacksonville, originally scheduled for today at 5 p.m. has been moved, due to unfavorable weather conditions, to Nov. 12, at 4 p.m.
The Gators and the Dolphins contest will now be the last chance for fans to see this year's squad in action against outside competition prior to the 2019 season starting.
Florida is still scheduled to compete against Santa Fe College Sunday, Nov. 11, at 2 p.m. Admission is free to the game, but with the limited seating fans far encouraged to bring their own chairs.
Santa Fe will also be providing a live video stream for those who cannot attend in person.
The Gators won the 2018 SEC Regular Season Championship for the fourth consecutive season, league-leading eighth overall, and captured the tournament title for the fourth time in program history en route to its ninth Women's College World Series appearance.
The team returns 15 players from last year's squad, including SEC Pitcher of the Year Kelly Barnhill and SEC Player of the Year Amanda Lorenz, along with eight newcomers.
