
Lindaman earned back-to-back Big Ten Player of the Year accolades in her first two years at Minnesota

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Head Coach Tim Walton announced Friday that two-time NFCA All-American Kendyl Lindaman has joined the Florida softball program. Lindaman, the 2017 & 2018 Big Ten Player of the Year, is a junior catcher that will be eligible to compete during the 2019 season.
"We are extremely excited that Kendyl chose Florida to continue her athletic and academic career." Walton said. "She is a talented player that is dedicated to improving as a student-athlete and that dedication has been recognized so far with multiple All-American and Academic All-American accolades. We look forward to having Kendyl join the program in January."

Kendyl Lindaman | 5-10 | Junior | Catcher | Ankey, Iowa
Lindaman belted a program-record 20 home runs during her freshman campaign at Minnesota and followed up with 20 more as a sophomore. As a freshman in 2017, she also set the Golden Gophers record for slugging percentage (.899), RBI (tied-76), walks (63) and on base percentage (.598) while also being named Big Ten Freshman of the Week a record eight times.
The Ankey, Iowa native maintained her dominance at the plate during her sophomore season as she finished ranked eighth nationally and first in the Big Ten in home runs, while she also hit .512 in conference play with a 1.279 slugging percentage.
