Florida is coming off a successful 5-0 opening weekend at the USF Wilson-DeMarini Tournament in Tampa.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida softball team resumes action on the diamond Wednesday against the University of North Florida at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium.
The Gators' first home game of 2018 will be under the lights in front of a welcoming crowd. Last weekend the team opened the season with a 5-0 record while at the USF Wilson-DeMarini Tournament in Tampa.
Florida picked up key victories over then-No. 18/16 Michigan, 2-0, and host USF, 14-3 in a five-inning game.
This is only the eighth meeting between the Gators and Ospreys. Florida owns a perfect 7-0 record against the team from Jacksonville, and last bested UNF 5-1 in a midweek matchup at home on April 5.
Wednesday's game is on WGGG (92.1 FM/1230 AM) & WMOP (100.1 FM/900 AM) as Ryan Urquhart will have the call.
Also, for the first time this season the Gators will be broadcast on SEC Network +. Fans can follow the action along with commentators Bernie Guenther and Kelsey Horton by going to WatchESPN.com or the WatchESPN app.
Next up for the Gators is a trip to Lafayette, La., to take on the University of Louisiana at Lafayette for a three-game series. A doubleheader is set for Saturday at 4 p.m. with a solo contest to follow on Sunday at 2 p.m.
