Gators Set to Welcome Newest Members

Florida head coach Dan Mullen will look to wrap up his first UF recruiting class on Wednesday.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – National Signing Day, a day unlike any other on the calendar, is upon us once again.
Since Dan Mullen was hired as the program's 26th head coach on Nov. 26, he assembled has an excellent coaching staff and signed 15 individuals on Dec. 20 during college football's first-ever early signing period. Nine of those student-athletes early enrolled at UF.
Coach Mullen spoke at halftime of Florida's men's basketball game on Jan. 27 where he pumped up the crowd as he referred to what he calls the "Gator Standard."
"We are going to give you a football team, I promise you, that you can be proud of both on the field on Saturdays and in the community,'' Mullen said that day. "Our guys are working their tail off right now to live up to what we know the 'Gator Standard' is."
It's all about the Gator Standard.

On Wednesday, National Letters of Intent will begin arriving in Florida's football offices from the next group of signees who want to help establish the "Gator Standard."
