GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Trey Burton tossed his way forever into Super Bowl history on Sunday.
On fourth-and-goal late in the first half, the Eagles called a direct snap to running back Corey Clement, who pitched the ball to Burton on a reverse. Burton then threw a touchdown pass to quarterback Nick Foles to stun New England's defense and give the Eagles a 10-point lead on the way to a 41-33 victory.
As you can imagine, Burton's life has been nonstop since Sunday and will be much of the week. The Eagles have a championship celebration in downtown Philadelphia on Thursday.
Meanwhile, they returned home from Minneapolis on Monday afternoon and Mitch Gerber of GatorVision caught up with Burton.
