GAINESVILLE, Fla. – A pair of Florida gymnasts picked up weekly Southeastern Conference awards, the league office announced this morning.
A sweep of the event titles in last Friday's win versus No. 13 Nebraska gives Florida's Alex McMurtry her second SEC Gymnast of the Week award the season. A pair of collegiate-best marks earn Jazmyn Foberg her second SEC Freshman of the Week honor.

Florida has a week off before heading to St. Louis, Mo., to look for its 11th team title at the Southeastern Conference Championships. The eight-team meet is set for Saturday, March 24 in two sessions.
The session assignments are based on the March 19 Road to Nationals team standings. Florida expects to compete in Session II.

McMurtry's Performance:
- McMurtry took at least a share of each of the five event titles, including equaling Florida's all-around record of 39.825 (set by Alaina Johnson and equaled by Bridget Sloan, both in 2014).
- The all-around total ties for No. 3 in the nation for 2018 and equals the nation's high all-around total turned in last weekend.
- She shared the vault win (9.95) and took the other wins outright – bars (9.975), beam (9.975) and floor (9.925).
- McMurtry is the first Gator to sweep event titles in a meet since Gator All-American Ashanée Dickerson at LSU in 2011.
- In current Road to Nationals rankings, McMurtry is No. 1 in both vault and uneven bars
Foberg's Performance:
- Turned in collegiate-best marks for both events performed in the regular-season finale versus No. 13 Nebraska.
- 9.95 – finished second on bars
- 9.90 – tied for third on vault
- Been a part of seven vault lineups, with all scoring a 9.80 or better
- Part of six bars lineups, with each of the last four scoring a 9.80 or better
