Florida went 3-1 over the past week with a big SEC series win over No. 4 Arkansas in Gainesville…After dropping the opening game of the series 6-3 on Friday, Florida exploded in a 17-2 win on Saturday edged out the series with a 5-4 win on Sunday…The Gators are now 4-2 in the SEC and trail Vanderbilt by one game in the early season Eastern Division standings…Florida also won a midweek matchup 10-3 against Jacksonville…It was a balanced effort last week, as the offense hit .304 and the pitching staff posted a 3.75 earned run average…Deacon Liput had a huge week, going 10-for-17 (.588) with a team-high six RBI…Liput went 6-for-13 (.462) with 5 RBI against Arkansas…Classmate Jonathan India wasn't far behind with a 7-for-12 (.583) week and four RBI…India has a career-high 11-game hitting streak…Over those 11 games, he is hitting .583 (21-for-36) with five home runs and 12 RBI…In the three games against Arkansas, India went 6-for-9 (.667) with four RBI…On the mound, Jackson Kowar had the best outing of the three weekend starters, limiting Arkansas to two runs on four hits over six innings…Kirby McMullen pitched four scoreless innings out of the bullpen in two appearances.
