The Gators return to action at The Swamp in 72 hours. A look at the latest headlines surrounding the UF football team.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- The Orange & Blue Game is three days away. As the Gators wrap up their first spring camp under head coach Dan Mullen, the adrenaline is starting to flow for the players.
They know this is their chance to show off their offseason work and make a strong case for playing time heading into the fall. They also know what happened last season.
Florida finished 4-7 and lured Mullen away from Mississippi State after the season.
"It's really important,'' sophomore cornerback Marco Wilson said after Tuesday's practice. "I know we probably let down a lot of fans last year, so we want to go out here on Saturday and just show them the new Florida Gators and the new staff and the new everything that we have and just get them excited for the season coming up."
The Orange & Blue Game is part of UF's #WeChompWeekend, which is full of activities on campus.
Here is a look at some of the top story lines entering Saturday's game, which kicks off at 3 p.m.
Of course, Spurrier wants a good quarterback, so he called up Tebow to check on his interest. While you're at it Coach, any thoughts about seeing if Danny Wuerffel is interested in being your offensive coordinator?
