GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The fifth-ranked Florida softball team will host Florida A&M for a single midweek game Wednesday, April 18, at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium at 6 p.m.
The Gators (37-7) enter tomorrow's game after having swept Southeastern Conference foe South Carolina.
Kelly Barnhill and
Aleshia Ocasio produced stellar performances in the circle, while
Nicole DeWitt provided the heroics with a three-run walk-off home run in the seventh inning of the final game to secure the sweep.
Barnhill earned SEC Pitcher of the Week for the fourth time this season, ninth of her career, after she limited the Gamecocks to just two hits through 14 innings pitched.
Fans can listen to the action between the Gators and the Rattlers on WGGG (92.1 FM/1230 AM) & WMOP (100.1 FM/900 AM).Â

- Barnhill now ranks third all-time in conference history with nine SEC Pitcher of the Week awards.
- Ahead of Barnhill is LSU's Brittany Snead (10) and Tennessee's Monica Abbott (16).
- Barnhill has five no-hitters including a perfect game this season. The five no-hitters lead the country with no other pitcher having more than three no-hitters on the year.
- The Gators picked up a pair of shutouts this past weekend and now have 25 on the season, which ranks first in the country.
- Florida continues to lead the nation in walks with 229 on the year and has four players ranked nationally in the category: Amanda Lorenz (5th), Kayli Kvistad (12th), Nicole DeWitt (21st) & Hannah Adams (35th).
- Amanda Lorenz has reached base safely in all 44 games this season and she has reached base safely in all but seven games over her career.
