GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida softball team prepares to step back into Southeastern Conference play with a series against No. 15 Alabama that starts Saturday, April 7, at 1 p.m. ET/Noon CT.
The Gators (32-5, 7-2 SEC) enter this weekend's series with the Crimson Tide (24-9, 5-4 SEC) after falling 1-0 to UCF in a midweek clash down in Orlando.
Florida and Alabama last met during the 2017 Super Regional round of the NCAA Tournament in Gainesville. The Gators took the series 2-1 (0-3, 2-0 & 2-1) and advanced to the Women's College World Series for the eighth time in program history.
This weekend's series will be broadcast on WGGG (92.1 FM/1230 AM) & WMOP (100.1 FM/900 AM). Kyle Crooks and former Gator softball standout Kelsey Horton will have the call for each game.
