Sunday's tilt will be the fifth meeting between the Gators and Wildcats, with Florida maintaining a 4-0 edge in the series. Last season, strong performances from Sammi Burgess (5 points), Mollie Stevens (7 draw controls), and Caroline Fitzgerald (3 caused turnovers, 2 ground balls) helped UF claim a 19-9 victory over Villanova at Donald R. Dizney Stadium.
Florida enters Sunday's clash on a 26-game win streak against BIG EAST opponents dating back to 2015, after the Gators suffered a setback on the road at UConn (L, 11-10). Since 2011, UF has posted a 46-2 regular season conference record, including a 26-1 mark in the BIG EAST.
Villanova picked up its first BIG EAST win of the season in its last outing, taking a 13-12 decision over the UConn Huskies. The Wildcats have faced two ranked opponents in 2018, suffering losses at No. 13 Cornell and at No. 25 Georgetown. Villanova's last three games have all been decided by four goals or fewer (1-2).

Head Coach Amanda O'Leary:
"We have a great opportunity ahead of us tomorrow. The changes in our travel and game schedule have put this team in an uncommon situation, and I'm really eager to see how they respond. Villanova has been playing at a high level in their last couple of games, especially in the draw circle. Winning possession of the ball early in the game will be extremely important for us to have success."
Scouting the Wildcats
Villanova leads the BIG EAST in assists per game (7.36), and ranks second in the Conference by winning an average of 16.0 draws per contest.
