GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Throughout the entire spring, new head football coach Dan Mullen worked tirelessly and smartly to re-energize the fan base. He spoke to student organizations, community leaders, UF alumni, university faculty and Gators fans across the region to drum up support.
Meanwhile, his football team enduring 14 practices and the annual Orange & Blue Game, presented by Sunniland, to begin preparations for August camp.
The Gators began spring practice on March 16 and 17, with each practice open to all fans.

The Gators resumed practice on Tuesday, March 20 with one thought in mind… STRAIN!

Coach Mullen enjoyed those first two practices with fans so much that he extended another invite to Gator Nation on Saturday, March 24.

Monday, March 26 kicked off the first practice of the week. It was a tad rainy and cold, but that didn't stop the guys from competing.

Following Florida's Pro Day on March 28 where the Gators held another practice, it was time to step into The Swamp for the first time as a team.

Following the scrimmage, the Gators hit the practice field a few days later with one goal in mind.

Straining leads to success.
That was the idea on Friday, April 6. With the Gators scheduled to scrimmage the following day, UF attacked the day with relentless effort so their minds were ready to get back inside Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.

With only one week until the spring game, Coach Mullen wanted his players to focus on their effort in the team's second scrimmage of spring ball.

Despite there being just a few practices left in spring, Coach Mullen stressed to his players that the intensity never changes in what they do.
