Jade Caraway is the first transfer and eighth addition to the Gators roster for the 2019 season.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Head Coach Tim Walton and the Florida Softball program announced the addition of Jade Caraway, a transfer from N.C. State, to the roster Thursday morning.
"We are extremely excited in having Jade become a Gator," Walton said. "She brings elements of speed, power and athleticism and has shown that she can be successful at both the high school and collegiate levels. We are looking forward to Jade joining our program."
Caraway spent two seasons playing for the Wolfpack where she led the team in hits both during her freshman (72) and sophomore (41) seasons. The Winter Garden, Fla. native earned spots All-ACC Second Team, All-ACC Freshman Team and All-ACC Academic Team in 2017 along with making the ACC honor roll.
As a freshman, she broke the N.C. State single-season records for batting average (.389), triples (5) and she also tied the single-season record for hits (72).
Caraway intends to pursue a degree in Sociology and has two years of eligibility left to play for the Gators.
