
Trio of Gators Named to ILWomen All-Rookie Team

Sabrina Cristodero, Grace Haus and Shannon Kavanagh honored with national recognition
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Three freshman Gators – Sabrina Cristodero, Grace Haus and Shannon Kavanagh – were named to the ILWomen All-Rookie Team, as announced Monday.
All three assisted Florida to a 17-4 record during the 2018 season and sent the Gators to their first NCAA Quarterfinal since the 2014 season.
Cristodero, an ILWomen Third Team All-American selection, started all 21 games during 2018 and set a new Florida record with 127 draw controls on the season. Against Butler, she recorded 14 draw controls, a program record as well. She finished the season with two goals, 29 ground balls and 20 caused turnovers, earning her a spot on the IWLCA All-Region Second Team.
Haus started all 21 games during her freshman campaign, scoring 40 goals – putting her fourth on the squad. She also posted seven assists, 28 ground balls and five free position goals in her rookie season. Haus scored a career-high four goals against both Jacksonville and Georgetown and she scored three of Florida's eight goals in the quarterfinal against JMU.
Kavanagh, a IWLCA Second Team All-Region selection, started all 21 games for the Gators during her freshman season. She earned BIG EAST Co-Freshman of the Year honors after scoring 36 goals, recording a team-high 28 assists and 89 draw controls. Kavanagh also notched 27 ground balls and 12 free position goals during the year.
